About Us
Our Services
Grief and Bereavement Support: Trained HHS volunteers provide grief and bereavement support for individuals and their families in a supportive and confidential environment.
Respite Services: Trained HHS volunteers provide respite services in order to support caregivers, or to ensure individuals with limited supports are not alone during end of life.
Equipment Loan Library: A variety of equipment, including mattresses/beds, wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, bath stools, and lounge chairs are available for loan to individuals choosing to be home at end of life.
Our Volunteers
Houston Hospice Society volunteers share a passion for enhancing the quality of end of life care in the community. Each volunteer contributes to the vision of HHS in a unique way. Volunteers who are comfortable interacting with individuals and families often choose to complete additional bereavement and grief training in order to provide emotional and respite support.
Other volunteers work to keep the equipment in good working order, organize fundraising, apply for grants, and provide essential organizational tasks.
